Dear Reader...

Dear Reader,

Let me begin with an appreciation for your kind perusal of this letter! I understand that you were not obliged to read it and quite possibly, it will have wasted your precious time. However, I am inspired to write and as I am limited in other's company or even acquaintance with those who share some similarities with my piffled musings, I write to you Dear Reader with the hopes that they will at least entertain, if not inspire a response.

Letters have been a part of my life for some time as I often wrote letters to my grandparents as a child, holidays notecards, and eventually, weekly letters to my best friend when I moved cities. Even now, I am writing back in forth with those from home and it has been the main source of excitement and anticipation as I await the next epistle in my mailbox.

Perhaps a small introduction is in order. I am Bronwyn. Currently a hopeless romantic (of the original sense of the word), an avid bibliophile, lover of tea, and appreciator of good coffee, with a tendency towards dramatic or entirely reclusive behavior. I am studying English Literature and History, with a minor in French, and have absolutely zero ideas as to what I wish to accomplish with it. I am as shy as a sloth, though not lacking in work ethic. I tend to hide away in my room conversing with my though and rambling away through these letters. I adore the pitter-patter of the rain and the earthy smell once the sun comes out, the stillness that arrives with snow, and the musty, crunch of the leaves in autumn. I believe that people’s laughter holds the most beauty and purity in all the world and I love to sit in the sun during the morning and listen to the birdsong.

It is my desire to write about all manner of piffle and whimsey in these letters. I am not writing to be understood or even correct, merely to ponder and waffle about things that confuse, dazzle, interest, sadden, and amuse me. And, as I have few to whom I may burden these ramblings with, I write to you Dear Reader with a request for patience and belief.

I write to you within the four walls of my dorm room and wish you, Dear Reader, the best of all that comes your way.

With Affection,
Bronwyn
